Our Story
Founded by Steph Hausman
Hi, I'm Steph. I’m a creative director and marketing strategist with over a decade of experience building brands across beauty, nonprofits, interiors, ecommerce, and emerging startups.
However, my creative journey started long before that. I was ten years old when my arty, graphic designer grandmother introduced me to Photoshop. That early exposure sparked a lifelong love for all aspects of design, and it's her influence that continues to inspire my work today.
I graduated from Syracuse University with dual degrees in Advertising and Marketing. I’ve worked inside major media organizations like NBCUniversal and alongside founders at every stage, developing digital strategies rooted in strong creative. Time and again, I’ve seen how thoughtful design, when paired with clear positioning, can transform how a brand shows up, grows, and resonates.
After years inside ad agencies, TV networks, and large conglomerates, I felt stuck. Digital culture moves fast. Bureaucracy does not. I was full of ideas but boxed in by systems that couldn’t keep up.
So I left New York and moved across the world to Melbourne, Australia.
Stepping outside my comfort zone and building community in a new country gave me the clarity I needed. I realized that the brands I had been shaping on the side for years could evolve into something bigger — something built with intention, agility, and creative freedom. Creative Haus was born from that realization.
Today, I’m back in Brooklyn, working alongside an incredible team of strategists and creatives as we partner with brands across the U.S. and Australia to build identities and creative ecosystems that move seamlessly between digital and real life. We stay tapped into culture, obsess over the details, and build design-led brands that make an impact.
Fun fact: our logo is actually my grandma's handwriting (we also have the same initials). Everything I do is inspired by her
